Spring is in the air and the best way to enjoy the warmer weather to come is to make a fun drink and find a matching mug to put it in. For several years I worked as a bartender and making these drinks made my spring and summer feel like I was on a vacation all the time. The only thing that would have made it better is if I would have had one of these killer tiki mugs to drink my concoctions in.
In the Big Ihu Tiki Mug fill it with a Blue Hawaiian to match the color of the mug.
1 oz light rum
2 oz pineapple juice
1 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
1 oz cream of coconut
Blend with ice in your blender and top with a cherry and pineapple slice
In the Big Kalo Tiki Mug make a minty fresh Mojito
1.25 oz spiced rum
12 mint leaves
1 tbsp sugar
0.5 oz lime juice
2 oz sprite
Place mint leaves in bottom of glass. Add crushed ice, spiced rum, sugar, and lime juice, and muddle. Add sprite and garnish with mint leaves.
In the Hypnotiki Tiki Mug blend together a Zombie
1/2 oz Bacardi® 151 rum
1 oz pineapple juice
1 oz orange juice
1/2 oz apricot brandy
1 tsp sugar
2 oz light rum
1 oz dark rum
1 oz lime juice
Blend all ingredients with ice except Bacardi 151 proof rum. Float Bacardi 151 proof rum on top. Garnish with a fruit slice, sprig of mint and a cherry.
In the Love Tiki Mug there is nothing more appropriate than a Lazy Lover
1 1/2 oz Southern Comfort® peach liqueur
1/2 oz Armagnac
1 oz pineapple juice
3/4 oz lime juice
1/2 oz passion-fruit syrup
Shake and strain into glass. Garnish with a speared cherry.
